The ticket : the ticket is a contract between Touraine Montgolfière and the passenger. It is personal and must be presented upon boarding, with an ID. Any substitution of name or transfer of passenger ticket by it holder is prohibited without our agreement. Any change of name requiring the issue of a new ticket will be charged 15 euros. Tickets are not refundable unless the cancellation option has been purchased. Packs "flight + accomodation" are not refundable.

 

Ticket validity : The ticket has a validity of 12 months from its date of issue. You must, during this period, do a minimum of 4 attempts of flight during the flight season ( April - October), to get an extension of the validity of the ticket for another year. Otherwise you must pay the extension fee of 50€ per ticket. If no date was selected, the ticket is definitely obsolete. Any ticket not used within 2 years is definitely outdated.

 

Prices : Prices are in euros and may be altered without notice. They include the hot air balloon flight, passengers' shuttles to the take-off site, return after landing to the meeting place, VAT (7%) and compulsory insurance.

 

Payment : Full payment is required when booking for individual customers (-8 people). In the case of a group, a deposit of 30% of the total amount is required when booking. The final number of people (list of names) must be provided with the payment of the balance at least 15 days before the flight date. Tickets are prepared and sent once the full payment is made.

 

Online payment : Our online payment is totally secured. This warranty is offered by the Crédit Agricole via the console Paybox e-commerce. No one has access to customers bank details. Payment information is confidential, encrypted and not accessed by our website.

 

Booking and flight confirmation : The flight date can be booked by phone or e-mail. The day before the flight you are required to call Touraine Montgolfière, between 11am and 3pm, for information concerning the time and meeting place, or flight cancellation due to bad weather.

 

Cancellation by Touraine Montgolfière : Touraine Montgolfière may cancel the flight due to bad weather forecasts, incompatible with safety, or if there are not enought passengers. In this case the tickets remain valid and another date will be set.

 

Cancellation by a customer : It is possible to postpone or cancel a flight with a minimum notice of 72h before the flight. If this delay is not respected or if a passenger is not present at the time and meeting place agreed to, their ticket will not be honored for another flight. This also applies to refundable tickets.

 

Cancellation by the pilot - flight safety : Flights can only take place with favorable weather conditions, meaning calm winds with no rain, fog or risk of storm. A hot air balloon is an aircraft subject to the rules of the air produced by the Civil Aviation and restriction of use issued by the manufacturer. The pilot, captain, is bound by them. For these reasons he may decide to change the launching site, cancel or interrupt the flight at any time. If the cancellation occurs before take-off, the ticket remains valid. Any flight beyond 30 minutes is considered performed. Touraine Montgolfière cannot be held responsible for the various expenses incurred due to cancellation (trips, hotel, meals...).

 

Flight + accomodation packages : They are not refundable. Any passenger with a package must communicate the chosen date early enough for Touraine Montgolfière to book the accomodation. Touraine Montgolfière cannot be held responsible for lack of availability for the accomodation. If the flight is cancelled, the accomodation will not be subject to any cancellation. However the ticket remains active until the expiry date. Accomodation will be considered as used even if the room has not been used.

Dress code : Clothing should be seasonal, casual and comfortable, nothing delicate or fragile. Cap, sneakers or walking shoes are recommended (high heels are not accepted).

 

Insurance : Risks are covered for an amount comparable to those imposed by the Warsaw Convention of 1929 and in accordance with the European Regulation 785/2004 which sets out the requirements of insurance applicable to aircraft operators. The insurance covers each passenger in accordance with the civil responsibility connected to transportation in return for payment for a maximum sum consistent with the regulation. Damage to personal objects such as clothing, cameras, equipment, internal or external prostheses are not included. Presenting your ticket to the pilot upon boarding confirms your acceptance of the terms of sale, transport and insurance.

 

Medical requirements : Flying in a hot air balloon is practicable by any person in good physical condition. Any serious medical problems remain confidential. Your doctor is the only one qualified to judge your ability to perform a balloon flight. Anyone revealing a medical problem at boarding will not be allowed on board without a fitness certificate. His ticket is considered as used. This applies to any person under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

 

Partnership : All or part of services provided may be handled in association with another company. All partners are equally certified by the General Direction of Civil Aviation forpublic passenger transportation.

 

Right of access and correction : In accordance with the Data Protection Act of January 1978, you have the right to access and rectify your personal data. This data is used to process your order and is essential to the achievement of your flight

 

Litigation : All litigation or questionable acts come under the jurisdiction of the Court in Tours.
